Emotions In Motion

If you enjoy my blog and my work, I would greatly appreciate your support and patronage. However, it is certainly not necessary! I have recently finished compiling my first book of poetry, Emotions in Motionand it is now available for order through Amazon Direct Publishing. This book contains 14 of my most cherished long-form poems arranged in such a way that it takes the reader through a roller-coaster of emotions.

“Emotions in Motion – A Book of Poetry” is a roller coaster ride of human emotions through poetry which crosses into prose at times. The goal of writing these poems was to expose deep and true human emotion in its raw form, and not just the happy emotions. Some of these poems are based upon my life but many are works of fiction or slightly exaggerated reality, the truth is all in the emotion.

May some of these poems bring you comfort in times of difficulty. May some remind you that you’re not alone, no matter how dark your life may be. May some bring you joy and give you the warmth of love when you’re feeling cold. May some bring you hope and may others just make you laugh.”

This book of Poetry includes:

Fly Away with Me
The Steering Wheel
I’ve Loved You Many Times Before
The Struggle Between Good and Evil
One Foot Before the Other
The Pain Train
No More Muted Voices
Looking Down from High Above
A Man So Paranoid
An Introduction to Planet Earth
A Reflection in Time
The Haunting’s of Mary-Jane
Living with Anxiety
I’ll Love You More Than You Could Ever Know

Thank you to all of you who have supported me and encouraged me while I continue my journey deeper into writing. If you do purchase a copy of either, please leave me a review. If you do not purchase a copy, I still cherish your support as a follower of my blog. 🙂

I have also ordered some copies for myself and my family. So I am thinking about holding a contest to give away one signed paperback. I’ve just yet to come up with an idea for this contest, so stay tuned.

Contact me if you have questions or would like more details.

Once again, thank you to everyone for your support and being the most amazing community that a new writer could ever ask for! ❤ ❤ ❤

      1. Yay!! That’s a bucket list item of mine too!!

It has to feel amazing just to have something published, whether it’s a huge success or not doesn’t matter, it’s still a reason to celebrate & your name is out there now, so you never know! You already have at least 1 fan, because I just purchased a copy!😁 So excited!! You’re only the second blog I follow that I now own a physical copy of poetry from!! 😊

It will be something your daughter will cherish forever! 💕

      2. Aw shucks. You’re the best. ❤

Thanks so much Kristian. I'm glad that we've become such good friends in such a short amount of time. 😀

Let's talk on instagram later, I want to pick your brain about a few things, but right now I'm about to run to the gym and to do some swimming 🙂

      3. ❤❤❤

Aww, that sentiment certainly goes both ways!! I’m so glad we found each other! 🤗 I value your friendship!

Okay, I’m happy to talk later. I’m envious, I love to swim!!

      1. Oh, and you should ask Amazon to link your ebook and paperback on the U.S. store. They might not have automatically linked because one has your middle initial in the name and the other doesn’t.

      2. They did that with my book when it first came out, and I thought it was just a delay and so I waited… and waited…. and eventually realized they weren’t going to do it spontaneously.

  1. Congratulations to you, Matt! I promise I will purchase the book at the beginning of Sept. I’m a little tight on funds right now, but I would love to read your poetry based on all the ones I’ve read here.
Again… Congratulations on your publications!!! You should be very proud of yourself!!! 🤗 🤩

    1. No obligations to anyone. I just thought I’d put it out there for anyone who was interested. Thanks so much Becky. I’ve always wanted to publish a book of my own, even if this is not my bucket list novel 😉 It’s going to be something nice to hand down to my daughter one day.

Thank you for all of your kind words, sentiment and support ❤

      1. I would love to get into reading again, but being visually impaired and having poor grip, I am unable to read a physical book. I need to do some research with the accessibility features that the Kindle has to offer first before buying.

        Oooh, I’m intrigued!

      2. I have really good side vision, it’s just my central vision that’s kaput. Its took a long time to adapt but I’m OK with it now 🙂 I look forward to it too, I’m a sucker for romance so if you know any good books, let me know! 💚

      3. What a coinkydink! I’ve been thinking the same and it was on my to do list for this week to send you an email 😂 I’ve checked my emails, but no email from you 🤔

  3. So happy for you!!! Congratulations 😀 😀 😀 It’s a goal of mine to get something published someday. I’m working on a book with a working title of “Love: A Pocket Guide” that (I think) is going to try to dig past the reactive emotional levels we encounter to discover what lies beneath.
