A New Post Schedule and Direction for Blog of the Wolf Boy

Hey fellow bloggers, writers, and friends,

I’m sure that it’s seemed lately like I’ve just been pumping out loads of content, and I’ll tell you why that is… It’s not because I’ve been bitten with inspiration, because I honestly haven’t been. I actually haven’t written much in the past week or so, I’ve had creative blocks. But, as some of you know, I used to brag about having a stockpile of drafts and scheduled posts for the future. Well, I’ve been depleting those on purpose, because I plan on starting a new pace with my blog.

As a courtesy to you, my readers, I’ve wanted to give you the heads up so that you don’t just wonder what the hell’s happened to me. I’m dropping down to 3 posts per week (at minimum).

Monkey

Here’s what you can expect from me in the future

Tuesday – Behind the Author Interview

Thursday – An Article Post

Saturday – Poetry

Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun – May Post/May Not Post

Outside of those days which I’ve assigned for certain posts, I may do some blogging on my daily life and observations, or experiment with new types of creative writing (I have one idea I really want to try), however, I still may just not post at all. But, I hope that you won’t hold that against me because I have some great content and interviews in the works for the future.

I’ve been feeling the pressure recently to try and keep up with my blog and frankly, I just need to give myself a break from that pressure. I want to spend more time in my studies and actually doing fun things in my life so that I have interesting topics to write about. Plus, writing only 3 days per week is going to give me the time that I need to edit and polish and make sure that all of my writings meet my own high standards of quality.

Hopefully, I’ll also have more time to read blog posts and to discover new blogs.

At the end of the day, I just wanted to give you all a heads up on what my plan is for the future of my blog. I hope you like the random inane ramblings of my unique mind because you may get more of it on those off days without my usual long-format articles or poetry.

Don’t Forget!

Giveaway

P.s. If any of you are interested in winning one of my “Emotions in Motion” poetry books, don’t forget to participate in my giveaway contest. Entries are due by this Wednesday night just before Midnight. There have already been some incredible entries and I’d love to see more. You just need to write a post that involves a wolf in some way and then let me know about it, or link back to my contest post. Take care!

Thank you all for your support, kind words and friendship.

You all make one heck of a difference in this one wolf’s life, and that’s no bullshit. ❤

      1. Thanks, glad I could help! My weekly choice was just something I eventually decided on after trying daily blogging but nearly running out of steam, so I’m really pleased you thought my advice was worthwhile 🙂

      2. P.S. I was thinking of putting together a short story of a vixen and wolf helping each other out of difficult situations, and was going to dedicate it to you & April (of Foxes and Poems). How does that sound?

      3. Pitched my idea to her & she’s looking forward to it. It’s mainly a shoutout to two different people who’ve really helped me grow as a writer – thought this would be a nice gesture.

  1. It’s one of the reason why I even though I’m inspired I try post maximum 1 post per day ( normally I prefer 1 every three days) because then I have a bit more time reply and read around. Besides, if I post a lot, I starts to feel pressured and stress and it’s not good. In your case, you school too right? Oh well, even if you don’t post everyday, we, your supporters will do our best to read you every post 😁

  2. I think scheduling it might help you with school, too. No?

Side note – My ex just started an English degree at York this month too. It’s been making me think of you as he tells me about his Syllabi and all of the books he has to read and papers he has to do. I bet you’re having fun with all of those same things, right?

    1. Nah I don’t want to do scheduling ahead anymore except for those 3 things, I want some of my posts to be spontaneous and in the moment. I want to start blogging more about what’s on my mind on any given day. If I can schedule ahead those 3 things, then at least I know if I have a day with no idea it’ll all be fine.

If my posts keep their quality then readers will keep coming back for more. Yes, I’m trying to get caught up on a bunch of readings right now! So far no actual work yet though. Phew…

      Good luck to him 🙂

  4. Sometimes I wonder how much you edit your writings..? They’re so…elegantly written.
I’m feeling a bit of a writer’s block right now and I totally feel you. It feels as if I lost the magic of words, yknow?

Anyways, take as many breaks as you want bc I’m 98% sure you’ve loyal readers ☺

    1. I do edit my posts atleast once or twice after I’ve written them, sometimes more if I just don’t like the way I wrote it. I appreciate the compliment.

And I can relate to the writers block, that’s why I’m happy for this new approach. Sometimes reading can be helpful to get ideas! I’ve been getting inspired by some school readings lately.

  6. I understand you well, and it warm my heart because it is a wise decidion. Blogging should be fun and something positive and not something that steals energy, at least not from studies and your daughter❤️
    Don’t push yourself to hard.
Take care, thinking of you, because you are important, and someone loves you and you have to look after yourself.

  7. I love that you have a plan – and I look forward to reading your future posts. I also admire your ability to figure out what works for you, and not feel pressure to do what others might expect you to do. And in case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been getting caught up with my blog reading, and I’ve been reading from the most recent to the oldest…

      1. You’re going to make me barf, I’ve had “beouf tartare” before in France thinking it was going to be a steak with some sauce on top. P.s. I spoke too soon. I got hit with a 20 minute presentation on comparing Beowulf and the works of Tolkien for Monday xD Time to get busy
